Osu! Dear karateka, as president of EKO, I am happy and proud to announce that our website is now running. On www.european-kyokushin.org you can find all about tournaments, training camps, seminars and other (inter)national activiteits. But als the rules of kumite for youth and adults, a complete set of medical protocols, guidelines for medical intervention, the structure of EKO, the profiles of boardmembers etc. etc.
Above all, you will find the latest news, acivities and results of tournaments. This is what should make our site an interesting visit worth of course. Threfore, on behalf of the EKO-board and our beloved karate, I strongly ask you to send all news, messages, camps, seminars etc., everything you think worthwhile to share with your fellow karateka. The webmaster will give it a place. If possible, also send photo's or a photoreport, everything that concerns our karate is more than welcome!
A good functioning site is an important step for our EKO and WKO of course to function internationally. At the moment, we are within EKO still very busy with SportAccord, and we expect to bring you soon some positive news about this development, which also needs a strong profile and professional organization.
I want to thank the following people, without whom this site would never have been developed. First Shihan Cyril Andrews, who has kept the site for years and assisted with the professionalization process. His help is still very much appreciated, as are his efforts in the past. Then: branch chief Bogdan Lubos and sensei Wojtek Radziewicz from Poland. They built the new site and maintain it, and they have spent - as shihan Andrews - many many hours on working for it, with the only reward: workonk for our karate. I am very grateful for their efforts and the spirit they still show! To all:please make this site even more 'alive' than it is now. Let us join our efforts and make WKO and EKo the strongest and most spirited jarate-organisation in the world. This website is an important part of that process! Osu,
Koen Scharrenberg, 5th dan President of EKO
